UPDATE: Sladkého and Mánesova dormitories to house students during summer
Dear students,
We would like to inform you that due to the emergency repair of the roof damaged by last year's hailstorm at Vinařská dormitory, there is a change in the summer accommodation of Vinařská dormitory. We are forced to make this change in the interest of the comfort of students who would be disturbed by noise from the reconstruction. In addition to the roofing replacement, the roof sunbreaks on all buildings must be removed.
According to the new timetable, the Mánesova and Sladkého dormitories in Brno-Komárov will be open for students during the holidays, with a total capacity of 730 beds. In recent years, the interest of Masaryk University students in summer accommodation has been lower than the offered capacity. Last year, only 570 beds were used over the holidays, so this year the chosen capacity of the two open dormitories should be fully sufficient. We are prepared to open additional capacity in case of higher student demands.
The booking period for holiday accommodation for students starts on 1.6.2024, as previously announced.
