Closure of the Bří Žůrků dormitory: alternative accommodation offer
Dear student,
we would like to inform you that the Bří Žůrků dormitory will be closed from 30th April 2024 due to a planned reconstruction. We are informing you about this fact in accordance with the Accommodation Rules of Masaryk University Dormitories (Article 10, Paragraph 2, Letter c, Point 1): "The Accommodation Provider has a right to make unilateral decisions about a change of accommodation space, closure of the dormitory or its part due to reconstruction or optimization of operation. The Accommodated Person must be informed of such a change at least 14 days in advance."
From 30th April 2024, you will be provided with alternative accommodation in other dormitories of Masaryk University according to available capacity. Please send your request for alternative accommodation between 3rd and 12th January 2024 to the accommodation assistant M. Junek at his e-mail address junek@skm.muni.cz
In the application, please provide your name, your UČO, and three dormitories of the Masaryk University preferred by you (with the exception of the Kounicova dormitory, which is closed until 2025 as well). You can find the list of the dormitories on our website: https://www.skm.muni.cz/en/accommodation/muni-dormitories
Please note that we cannot guarantee you an allocation of a dormitory preferred by you, but we will do our best to honor your request to the maximum. In case you would not be interested in the alternative accommodation offer at all, please confirm your disinterest the same way as well.
If you do not apply for an alternative accommodation between 3rd and 12th January 2024, or if you decide not to take the option of alternative accommodation and thus end your accommodation at the Bří Žůrků dormitory before/on 30th April 2024, your accommodation will be shortened by an amendment to the Accommodation Agreement on changing the accommodation time. To shorten the accommodation period, please visit the office of the accommodation assistant M. Junek on workdays (from 8 AM until 3 PM).
The rental fee for the alternative accommodation will be the same or lower than the rental fee of your current accommodation depending on the type of the assigned room.
