Arrange accommodation for one or two semesters at one of the MU dormitories.   

Payments of deposits and rental at Masaryk University halls of residence by using SUPO

The reservation deposit and all services associated with accommodation are to be paid for exclusively through the accounting record system SUPO. The operation of the SUPO system is subject to the internal regulations of MU.

Students must activate a personal account in the SUPO system. It is essential to activate a SUPO account in order to make use of accommodation services at MU halls of residence.

SUPO account activation

Activation of SUPO account consists of two steps:

  1. it is necessary to express an agreement to the conditions of operation of SUPO https://inet.muni.cz/app/supo/aktivace - SUPO account is activated
  2. it is necessary to pay at least the minimum of stipulated financial sum – SUPO account is active

In case of accommodation, the minimal financial sum needed for SUPO activation equals to the amount of reservation deposit, possibly to the first payment of accommodation services.

Payment of the reservation deposit – current students

  • Students who have reserved a bed (agreed accommodation in advance) at MU halls of residence are obliged to pay a reservation deposit to the amount of 2000 CZK + 30times the daily rate of the dormitory fee. Their reservation of a bed will be cancelled if they do not pay the reservation deposit. The reservation deposit can be paid for through SUPO account.
  • In case a student does not have an active SUPO account, the account should be activated as soon as possible – viz General information – SUPO account activation, article I
  • Reservation deposit is due for payment 10 days after bed reservation.
  • Students are obliged to pay the deposit by means of a one-off payment order, by a cash deposit to MU account, by SUPO “cash point” (Self-service top-up machines), by credit card in SUPO or by QR code in SUPO, so that the amount of money would be credited on MU account at the latest till the maturity date.

Payment of the reservation deposit – incoming 1st year students

  • Students who have reserved a bed at MU halls of residence are obliged, in accordance with the Accommodation Contract, to pay a reservation deposit to the amount of 2000 CZK + 30times the daily rate of the dormitory fee. Their reservation of a bed will be cancelled if they do not pay the reservation deposit. The payment can be made through SUPO.
  • Reservation deposit is due for payment 10 days after bed reservation.
  • At first, students must activate a personal account in the SUPO system – viz General information – SUPO account activation, article I
  • Having activated SUPO account, students send the set amount of money by one-off payment order, by cash deposit to MU account or by way of the shopping centre MU (link to shopping center will be available at website), so that the amount of money would be credited on MU bank account at maturity day.

Payment of the halls rental

  • Accommodation fee is payable in current month in the term, which is set in SUPO timetable https://inet.muni.cz/app/supo/harmonogram?app.setlang=EN
  • If the accommodation start date is other than the 1st day of a month, the accommodation fee is payable on the 10th day from the real start date of accommodation.
  • The first payment consists of accommodation deposit to the amount of monthly halls rental (deposit for the last month) plus halls rental and services for the proportionate part of September.
  • Payment of halls rental is carried out through SUPO account in the following ways:
    1. One-off payment order
    2. Cash deposit to MU account
    3. SUPO Self-service top-up machines
    4. Credit card in SUPO
    5. QR code in SUPO

FAQ

The pricelist shows a charge per night - should I pay for weekends, too, even if I go home for the weekends?

Long-term accommodation is paid for the whole month, regardless of whether you are physically present. There are two exceptions and that is the first and the last month of your stay for which you pay an amount corresponding to the number of days (depending on the date of checking in and out). If you want to be accommodated only during certain days of the week, you may use short-term accommodation.

What data are required to make a payment from abroad?

I have booked a bed for the following year at the halls of residence and I have sent the amount of money to pay the booking deposit to SUPO account. The deposit does not appear to be paid when looking at the SUPO account statement. Is there anything else that should be done?

No, the deposit is transfered automatically from your SUPO account on the due date.

I do not understand how SUPO works/ I do not understand the SUPO statement.

Energy prices won’t affect accommodation prices

During the 2022/2023 academic year MU did not increase the prices of accommodation by the originally anticipated 10% especially thanks to cost-saving measures. These were maintained, among other things, by the active involvement on the part of students. We would like to continue with this trend, which is why the price list in force since February 2023 shall remain in effect for the academic year 2024/2025. That being said, the management of MU has decided to implement the inflation clause pursuant to the provisions of the legal regulations of the Czech Statistical Office.

Renovations at dormitories: New windows at Vinařská, new entrance at Bří. Žůrků

Masaryk University is planning to spend approximately CZK 422 million for renovations of its dormitories over the period of 2020–2025. “Since 2020 the new management of Accommodation and Catering Services (ACS) has been doing its best to improve the comfort of our accommodation facilities. Aside from the renovation budget we have allocated resources for emergency and ad hoc repair and maintenance or wall painting,” says ACS director Kamil Kulíšek.
